Hey everyone, I wanted to take a moment to share my thoughts after returning to Mauritius from South Africa, after a long time. First off, I have to say, I love following Part time travelling (Eleise and Lawrence) blog! It's always such a treat to see their updates and get a glimpse of the beauty and culture of our island. However, I have to admit, my recent experience here has been quite a shock. The new triple tax on everything is just appalling. It's so disheartening to see how these exorbitant prices are pushing tourists away. What's even more frustrating is knowing that products imported from South Africa for cheap are being heavily overpriced in Mauritius. It feels like we're being taken advantage of, and it's really putting a damper on what should be a wonderful experience. Despite this, I'm grateful for [Blogger's Name] and their blog. It's a great escape from these everyday frustrations and a reminder of the true beauty of Mauritius. Keep up the great work! Until next time, Munjoy From South Africa

Should've just bought it in the store, it's a fraction of what you were charged. Sorry to say it's common in relatively poor communities for people to take advantage of tourists. If it seems expensive, chances are they're taking advantage of you. Rather walk away and buy from a supermarket.
